Rwanda proud to host this year’s Nkabom – Commonwealth Youth Leadership Programme

Nkabom (meaning coming together in parts of Ghana where the project started in 2004) is an international Youth Leadership Programme. It is an opportunity for 18-25 year olds from across the Commonwealth to come together to exchange ideas and to develop networks. We are very proud that the next Nkabom will be held in Rwanda during the first two weeks of September 2010.
Rwanda the new chair for the Conference of the African Union Ministers in Charge of Youth

The Ministry of Youth attended the 3rd African Union Conference of Ministers of Youth (COMY II) held in April in Zimbabwe. This conference was attended by representatives from 37 member states from across Africa as well as representatives from the Pan-African Youth Union, the Secretary General and Deputy Secretary General for Southern Africa and other international organisations and NGOs.
Ministry of Youth attends the Commonwealth Africa Regional Senior Government Officials’ Meeting held in Nigeria

As a new member of the Commonwealth the Ministry was pleased to attend the Commonwealth Africa Regional Senior Government Officials’ Meeting in Abuja, Nigeria in March. This meeting was for the Commonwealth Youth Program (CYP) and was preceded by the Regional Youth Caucus Meeting.
